The Standard Club has launched an offshore advisory committee – creating a formal platform for discussion of industry trends, challenges, and regulations.
Chaired by Subsea7’s Claire Bromley, the Standard Club Offshore Advisory Committee (SCOAC) aims to look into current and emerging issues affecting sectors such as production, drilling, accommodation, constructions/installation, support/supply, and other specialist operations. SCOAC wants to ensure that the club’s response is the most appropriate and supportive for its members.
The committee consists of the following:
- Claire Bromley, head of insurance, Subsea 7 SA
- Jonathan Cassidy, group risk manager and insurance director, SBM Offshore
- Suchitra Narayanan, general manager, risk & insurance, Bumi Armada Berhad
- Johann Preller, insurance lead, Allseas Group S.A.
- Bertrand Valentin, offshore E&C and drilling insurance manager, Saipem Group
- Trond Kyrkjeboe, CEO, Nortrans Offshore Pte Ltd
- Thony Lindström Härdin, general counsel, Floatel International Ltd
“Our committee members are established figures in the offshore world and being able to call upon their considerable expertise is invaluable,” commented James Bean, Standard Europe managing director.
For Bromley, SCOAC reinforces the club’s commitment to understanding its members’ evolving needs and in looking for ways to further support them.
“As chairman, I am looking forward to working together with the rest of the committee to ensure SCOAC is a success,” she said.
The Standard Club is a specialist marine and energy insurer and member of the International Group of Protection and Indemnity clubs owned by its shipowner members and controlled by a board of directors drawn from the membership.
