The marine business specialist division of Pen Underwriting - Trafalgar Marine Trades (TMT) – has announced its appointment of Emma Colbourn (pictured) who will join as UK senior marine trades underwriter on October 8, 2024.
In a Press release, Pen highlighted Colbourn’s 25-plus years of marine insurance experience and specialist knowledge. She joins from Geo Underwriting Services and, previously, KGM Underwriting Services. In her new role, Colbourn will focus on the UK marine trades market as part of a team looking after the risk and insurance requirements of marine businesses around the world.
Her remit will include working closely with Pen’s dedicated business development team and broker clients and supporting ongoing product development and systems development to further enhance the speed and efficiency of the customer journey of Pen’s clients.
Commenting on the appointment, Paul Hartley, co-MD of Marine at Pen, said: “When it comes to detailed knowledge of the diverse risks and specialist insurance needs of UK marine businesses, Emma is one of the most skilled and experienced underwriters that brokers could turn to.
