Matt Haywood (pictured) has come onboard specialist cargo and freight underwriting agency Lonham Insurance Underwriters.
Snapping up the seasoned executive from Marsh UK, where he served as senior vice president and head of corporate marine, Lonham appointed Haywood as marine underwriter. He brings over 24 years of specialised marine experience in the areas of freight liability, logistics, and cargo.
“I am delighted to join Lonham’s market-leading cargo and freight liability team,” said Haywood, who also spent time as a loss adjuster with Collyers.
“I have admired the business the team has built for a long time, and I look forward to working closely with everyone to further increase their specialist services for brokers and clients.”
Ipswich-based Lonham, which first set sail in 1983, joined international specialty insurance group Chaucer more than three years ago.
