The Leeds Marine Insurance Association has appointed underwriter Angela McCluskie as chairperson.
ACII qualified McCluskie has been with UK specialty MGA Fiducia since October 2016. Prior to Fiducia, she was senior cargo underwriter at
Allianz Global Corporate Specialty in Leeds.
At Allianz, McCluskie was responsible for business underwritten from the North of England and Scotland and major broker accounts nationally. She also worked at
Aon.
“I am delighted to be appointed Chair of the Association which is a longstanding and well-respected institution in the marine insurance community in the North,” commented McCluskie.
She added: “It is quite an achievement for Fiducia as we only opened our doors for business in November 2016.”
Fiducia chief executive and founder Gerry Sheehy described the development as a “very rewarding appointment” for McCluskie.
“Angela certainly brings a wealth of experience and stature to our business and is a key part of our founding team. It also reflects the support she provides to our policyholders and intermediary partners,” said Sheehy.
