Thomas Miller Specialty (TMS) is looking for a chief underwriting officer to succeed Bernt Hellman (pictured), who will be transitioning away from his CUO role to focus on growing TMS’s offshore marine proposition.
“I want to thank Bernt for his work as CUO in TMS over the last three years and steering the growth and development across our underwriting businesses during this time, and I look forward to announcing his successor in due course,” said TMS chief executive Danielle Champion.
While recruitment is ongoing, protection and indemnity (P&I) underwriting director Helge Volger will be in charge of the managing general agent’s marine P&I underwriting operations in the meantime.
Hellman has been with TMS since 2016 and will look after the expansion of the offshore business.
