To navigate your way to expansion, you need a strong captain of the ship – and that is what Chubb believes it has found in Guney Celik (pictured).
Celik has been appointed as the insurance giant’s new regional head of marine for Eurasia and Africa, assuming responsibility for the expansion of its presence across the region while working with both its business development and underwriting teams.
Previously in charge of the marine portfolio in Turkey, a role he had held since 2017, Celik will report to Emre Bugday, Chubb Turkey country president, Benoit Chasseguet, regional marine manager for Continental Europe, and Nikolay Dmitriev, regional director for property and casualty.
“I am delighted to appoint Guney to this new role. He has done an excellent job in building Chubb’s Marine presence in Turkey and I am looking forward to seeing him achieve similar results on a regional basis,” said regional president for Eurasia & Africa, Giles Ward. “I am sure this well-deserved appointment will bring greater focus and allow us to accelerate growth in this important area of our business.”
