The London team of Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has received further boost with the arrival of two senior hires.
Pedro Mairos, who most recently served as UK deputy chief underwriting officer and UK branch marine cargo underwriting head at AXA Corporate Solutions, has been tapped to become BHSI’s head of marine for the UK and Ireland. His nearly two decades of experience in marine insurance includes time spent in Paris, Hong Kong, and Dubai.
Also joining the London office is Sean Mannion in his capacity as property head for the UK and Ireland. The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Fellow brings more than 35 years of industry experience – the latter part of which was with Zurich where he was head of property & energy lines within commercial insurance UK.
Mannion also worked at AIG UK as senior vice president and global property executive.

“Our new line of flexible marine products marks an important advance in providing broad, multi-line solutions for customers and brokers in the UK and Ireland.”
In January BHSI named Simeon Seamer as property construction head for the UK and Ireland as well as Ed Martin as transactional liability head for the UK and Europe. Both are also based in London.
