Manchester-headquartered iRevolution Group has acquired specialist motor insurance broker Barry Grainger Insurance (BG Insurance) in Tunbridge Wells for an undisclosed sum.
“We’re always setting our sights on continuous growth, so this purchase has given us a great opportunity,” stated iRevolution Group chief executive Mark Rigby (pictured).
“BG Insurance gives us the expertise and knowledge in other areas of non-standard motor broking. This includes providing high-quality services for taxis and driving schools.”
The purchase is iRevolution Group’s fifth acquisition in three years.
Commenting on the transaction, BG Insurance’s David Harvey said: “I’m happy to be able to pass BG Insurance to iRevolution Group. When the deal was agreed, I felt it was a great fit and best for the business.
“The team at iRevolution Group has a great vision for the future of BG Insurance, and I am confident that it is in good hands.”
Founded in 2013, independently owned and managed iRevolution Group is the name behind brands such as Well Dunn Insurance Services, Insurance Revolution, 1st UK Commercial, and Policy Link.
BG Insurance, meanwhile, has been in operation for over three decades. Aside from taxi drivers and driving schools, the business also caters to convicted drivers and motorhome owners.
“The feeling across the group is one of excitement,” added Rigby, whose camp recently set up a £1 million headquarters in Castlefield.
