RSA Insurance has announced the appointment of Michael Jensen as senior specialist underwriter – accident & health (A&H) within its UK Specialty Lines division. This division is part of Intact's Global Specialty Lines, which offers comprehensive global solutions for brokers and clients dealing with complex international risks.
Jensen will be based in Manchester and will play a pivotal role in advancing the growth of A&H in the regions. His tenure in this position begins in September, and he will report to Laura Fox, regional underwriting manager, A&H, UK Specialty Lines.
With extensive experience in A&H underwriting, Jensen started his insurance career at RSA in 2013, gaining valuable experience in both A&H and schemes. Following his time at RSA, Jensen held A&H underwriting and senior underwriting positions at Chubb and Aviva before joining RSA from Howden, according to his LinkedIn.
“I am thrilled to collaborate with Michael once again and welcome him back to RSA. He enjoys great esteem among brokers and brings a wealth of experience to the role. Michael is a valuable addition to our team, and I have no doubt that he will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our business and expanding our presence in the regions,” Fox said.
Elsewhere, in an interview with Insurance Business, RSA senior customer experience strategy manager David Lever highlighted the opportunities that regulatory changes can bring as the introduction of the Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA) recent Consumer Duty standard came into effect.
