Lloyd’s chief investment officer Eleanor Bucks (pictured) is joining the board at long-term savings and retirement business Phoenix Group.
Effective next month, Bucks will serve as an independent non-executive director, bringing strong corporate governance experience as well as life assurance expertise. The incoming board member’s credentials include 15 years spent at Legal & General.
“We are delighted that Eleanor has agreed to join the board of Phoenix Group Holdings Plc,” chair Alastair Barbour said in a release. “She is an accomplished actuary and chief investment officer demonstrating strong financial services, insurance, and stakeholder management experience.
“She brings fresh capability and skills together with a deep understanding of both our business and markets and will be a positive resource as Phoenix pursues its long-term strategy.”
Bucks, who has been investment chief at Lloyd’s since 2021, is described as a “proven leader” whose know-how spans sustainable assets, ESG (environmental, social, and governance), and the development of alternative retirement products.
