As announced on August 6, Keoghs appointed a new partner, Jo Lewis, to help expand its professional and financial risks (ProFin) team.

Lewis has over 14 years' worth of experience working for insurers and their insureds in different claims, including multi-million pound, cross-jurisdictional disputes. Her expertise includes defending professional negligence claims against solicitors, construction professionals, property professionals, insolvency practitioners, and accountants.

Starting in her new role in September, Lewis will be based in Birminham, leading a new team to enhance Keoghs' regional capability. The company's ProFin team has offices in London and Liverpool, with Birmingham soon to be a third and new location for Keoghs.

“Keoghs’ ProFin team has a great track record for growth and an excellent reputation for resolving professional indemnity claims and disputes quickly and cost-effectively, with a strong emphasis on supporting clients to maintain their commercial relationships. I am thrilled to be working alongside such a strong team and to help grow the firm’s proposition in Birmingham,” Lewis said of her appointment.

Partner Dragos Stoica added: “We have experienced substantial growth in the ProFin team in recent years, and we are delighted that with our clients’ continuing support, we are able to expand in Birmingham. Growing our overall Profin offering is a crucial part of our team’s growth plan.

“We are very pleased to welcome Jo to the team. We have no doubt that her extensive experience will be invaluable to our clients, and I look forward to working with her to make our ProFin offering in Birmingham a great success.”

Keoghs is Davies' legal solutions business. It provides legal and claims solutions to the UK insurance industry, managing over £1bn worth of insurer claims in excess of 100,000 claims annually, working with insurers, MGAs, corporates, and the public sector.
