Marc Hickey (pictured above) has joined HF Ireland as partner and head of commercial litigation, as part of the firm’s ongoing expansion in the Republic of Ireland.

Hickey will lead the commercial litigation team, advising clients on a variety of issues including banking, shareholder, partnership, and contract disputes.

Hickey brings experience across all levels of the Irish court system, with a particular focus on the Chancery and Commercial Lists of the High Court and mediation. HF explained that his appointment adds further capability to the legal adviser’s Dublin office, reflecting the firm’s continued growth in the region.

Hickey noted that joining HF Ireland aligns with the firm’s growth plans, stating that the opportunity to work with a dynamic and expanding team was a key factor in his decision.

Ronan McCann, CEO and managing partner of HF, said that Hickey’s experience and expertise complement the existing team in Ireland.

“Marc will form an integral part of our success as we continue our ambitious growth plans,” McCann said.

Martin Browne, partner and head of HF Ireland, expressed his excitement about working with Hickey.

“’I’m looking forward to working with Marc and bringing his extensive skills and experience on board to support and expand our successful team in Ireland,” Browne said.

Recently, HF also announced the appointment of Tom Davison as partner and head of property, risks, and coverage. In this role, Davison was tapped to lead a growing team focused on advising insurers, claimants, and defendants on a wide range of property damage and construction issues.

Davison brings extensive experience in advising on coverage, defendant liability, and other liability matters. He has also lectured on law topics, including at the Birmingham Institute of Civil Engineers’ Law & Contracts Management course.
