Marsh McLennan’s reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter has reportedly sued rival Howden Tiger in London.
According to a report by The Insurer, the lawsuit came after Howden Tiger supposedly snatched more than 30 people from Guy Carpenter’s operations in Europe. European chief executive Massimo Reina was cited among those who made the switch.
Howden Tiger came to life earlier this year when TigerRisk Partners became part of Howden Group.
Meanwhile, it was reported that Howden Group founder and chief executive David Howden is being sued as well, aside from Howden Tiger.
Separately, chief operating officer for North America Dorothée Mélis-Moutafis was said to have been appointed as interim Europe CEO at Guy Carpenter in response to Reina’s departure.
