These days it’s all about flexibility and inclusivity, and claims management giant Crawford & Company is leading the pack by introducing a revised leave policy for its staff in the UK.
In what is described as a first for an adjusting company, Crawford will be allowing employees to swap bank holidays.
Explaining the initiative, UK & Ireland president Lisa Bartlett (pictured) said: “Following on from the introduction of a more flexible hybrid approach to working, Crawford has now introduced inclusive bank holidays for all UK colleagues.
“Not everyone celebrates the same things. So, every UK-based employee, regardless of the length of service, will now be able to choose to flex their bank holiday allowance, making sure they celebrate the days that are most meaningful to them.”
The new staff benefit is in addition to the domestic abuse support programme and extensive menopause support framework rolled out by Crawford in the UK in February and last October, respectively.
“At Crawford,” asserted Bartlett, “we are committed to fostering a safe and inclusive environment where employees’ unique perspectives and experiences are heard and valued. We don’t just talk about inclusion and diversity; we make it an integral part of everything we do.
“We believe that to attract and retain great people, we must build an inclusive and supportive workplace where everyone can thrive. Introducing inclusive bank holidays for our colleagues is just one more step in our unwavering commitment to making Crawford a great place to work.”
