Insurance Business UK (IBUK) has released its rankings of the leading cyber insurance providers for 2025.
The selection process assessed insurers based on their broker relationships, underwriting capabilities, and product strength.
The rankings come shortly after the World Economic Forum (WEF) published its Global Cybersecurity Outlook 2025, highlighting growing cyber risks for businesses and governments.
According to the report, technological advancements, geopolitical instability, regulatory fragmentation, supply chain vulnerabilities, and a shortage of cybersecurity professionals are key factors contributing to increasing cyber threats.
The WEF also noted that these challenges are widening the gap in cyber resilience, particularly between large and small organisations, as well as between developed and emerging economies.
Insurance Business’s rankings were compiled through a 15-week research process involving direct input from insurance brokers. The research team conducted surveys and interviews with professionals in the industry to evaluate insurers based on key attributes.
Brokers were asked to identify essential features of cyber insurance policies and rate the insurers they work with based on those criteria. The final rankings reflect broker sentiment regarding insurer relationships, underwriting expertise, and product offerings.
