Managing general agent Nirvana has hired Andrea García-Beltrán as cyber Europe head.
Based in Barcelona, García-Beltrán will be in charge of leading and building a new cyber insurance product for SMEs in Europe. Her credentials include time spent as cyber underwriting head at RSA and chair of the International Underwriting Association’s cyber underwriting insurance committee.
“I am thrilled to join Nirvana as the head of cyber for Europe, a role that aligns perfectly with my passion for client-focussed solutions in the dynamic field of cyber insurance,” García-Beltrán, who was with Aon for over a decade, said in a release.
“Nirvana’s commitment to innovation and strategic focus on growth and its leadership presents an exciting opportunity to not only shape the company’s trajectory but also contribute significantly to the evolving cyber insurance market. I look forward to leveraging our expertise to develop cutting-edge products, navigate market trends, and establish Nirvana as a leader in cyber insurance.”
The key hire is joining Nirvana in March, with the MGA’s new SME cyber offering expected to be rolled out later this year.
“We are very excited to be building our new European cyber insurance product with Andrea at the helm, bringing a wealth of product experience with her,” chief executive and co-founder Kabir Chanrai commented.
Meanwhile Nirvana chair and head of media, tech & cyber Rob Jones had this to say: “Andrea is one of the foremost cyber insurance underwriters in the London market, and we are thrilled that she has chosen to join our growing team at Nirvana.
“We see tremendous growth opportunities in the cyber market, and Andrea’s vast experience will be invaluable as Nirvana seeks to grow our share of this market.”
