Cowbell, a provider of adaptive cyber insurance, has joined the Association of British Insurers (ABI).
Commenting on the move, Simon Hughes (pictured above), senior vice president of global distribution at Cowbell, said that joining the association will allow the company to foster greater trust and transparency and drive innovation.
Cowbell specialises in cyber insurance for small and medium-sized enterprises and middle-market businesses. It provides AI-driven risk assessment and cyber insurance policies designed to help businesses manage cyber-related risks.
“Cowbell is committed to protecting UK businesses against persistent and continuously evolving cyber threats,” Hughes said. “With AI-driven risk assessment and tailored cyber insurance solutions, we empower businesses to stay resilient in an increasingly digital world.”
The ABI has more than 300 member firms and works with the UK government, HM Treasury, regulators, consumer organisations and NGOs. It promotes the value of the insurance sector in supporting the economy and works to enhance public understanding of insurance and long-term savings. The association also collaborates with its members to address industry challenges, improve market practices and strengthen protections for businesses and consumers.
Laura Hughes, head of general insurance policy at the ABI, said they are looking forward to working with Cowbell to mitigate cyber threats.
The company also received a $60 million funding boost from Zurich Insurance Group meant to expand its operations and strengthen its cyber resilience services.
