Jamie Whitcombe-Jones (pictured), who for the last five months served as cybersecurity programme manager at Allianz Insurance Plc, has now taken on the chief information security officer post.
In his new capacity, Whitcombe-Jones will have company-wide responsibility for information security across Allianz UK and LV= General Insurance. He will report to chief operating officer Stephanie Smith.
“With LV=GI now part of our Allianz family we recognise the increasing size and complexity of our cyber agenda, and this new role reflects our larger customer and employee base,” noted the COO.
“Jamie has a wealth of experience in leading and delivering for regulated businesses and following his superb job shaping our cyber programme over the last few months, I have no doubt he’ll excel in this role.”
Before making the switch to Allianz, Whitcombe-Jones was Bupa’s programme director in charge of globally transforming information and cybersecurity. His credentials also include time spent at Centrica as information security and transformation head.
