Allianz Commercial has announced the appointment of Delvin Tillett (pictured) as its new head of cyber for large corporate business in the UK, effective immediately. Based in London, Tillett will report to Sharanjit Chaggar, regional UK head of financial lines.
According to a news release, Tillett succeeds Michela Moro, who is returning to her home in Italy to pursue a new opportunity.
With 22 years of experience in London market underwriting, Tillett has spent the last 12 years specialising in cyber and technology risks. He most recently served as senior vice president for cyber at Marsh and as senior cyber underwriter at Munich Re. Earlier in his career, he gained a decade of claims experience across cyber, financial institutions, directors and officers (D&O), and casualty business lines. His extensive background spans both the carrier and broker perspectives, equipping him with expertise in navigating the complexities of the expanding cyber risk landscape.
In his new role, Tillett will oversee the development and implementation of cyber risk strategies tailored to the UK market.
“I am delighted to welcome someone with such extensive experience across this area to lead our cyber line of business,” said Chaggar. “Delvin has dealt with all elements from underwriting to claims, which brings a unique and invaluable knowledge that will only benefit our customers in this important area of risk. I’d also like to extend my thanks to Michela, and we wish her well on her return to her native Italy.”
Tillett’s appointment underscores Allianz Commercial’s strategic plans towards enhancing its cyber risk capabilities.
In June, Allianz Commercial appointed Vanessa Maxwell as global head of cyber, in addition to her current role as global head of financial lines. In her new role, she will lead efforts to strengthen Allianz’s position in cyber and financial lines.
