Zurich’s engineering team in Birmingham will be afforded specialist eye care from a new partner.
Specsavers Corporate Eyecare has been tapped to supply display screen equipment eye care and prescription safety glasses to Zurich engineers after the insurer “looked across the market for the right provider,” according to UK head of engineering John Hartigan.
“We were impressed by Specsavers and their online system which allows employees to claim back the costs of eye care and glasses easily through an eVoucher,” said Hartigan. “We’re delighted with the service which has proved really popular with our engineers.”
The team, which identifies engineering risks by examining the likes of plants and machinery, will have access to Specsavers’ full range of safety eyewear.
“We’re delighted to be working with Zurich and supporting their team of engineers with eye care provision,” commented Specsavers corporate account manager Leonie Caul. “We provided them with information explaining how the scheme works, which they’ve adapted and shared with their engineers.”
