Loss adjuster Woodgate & Clark has recruited former Knowles Loss Adjusters (KLA) managing director David Parker (pictured) to grow the company’s building defects division.
“I am excited by the opportunity to take the lead on improving Woodgate & Clark’s presence in the building defects sector and related construction claims,” stated Parker, who worked as a chartered surveyor in the construction industry for half a decade before foraying into loss adjusting in 1983.
“I look forward to playing my part in meeting the company’s longer-term strategic ambitions in this area.”
Parker’s credentials include years spent at GAB Robins and Charles Taylor, with the latter acquiring KLA in 2014.
At Woodgate & Clark, the key hire reports to operations director Graeme Fitzpatrick, who said the growing firm has an abundance of opportunities for seasoned executives and younger adjusters alike.
Fitzpatrick commented: “Building defect and construction-related claims are core propositions for us, and delivering service excellence and cost control in these areas is part of our overall strategy. It’s great to have someone of David’s calibre and experience onboard and leading efforts to broaden our client proposition in these sectors.
“We remain keen to talk to experienced adjusters and surveyors looking for fulfilling roles in one of the UK’s most progressive and forward-thinking loss adjusting businesses.”
