Seventeen Group, which recently acquired Ipswich-based Ryan Insurance Group, has now added Pinner Risk Solutions (PRS) to its subsidiary James Hallam to serve as the latter’s construction specialist division.
Snapped up for an undisclosed sum, the Middlesex business was set up by managing director Zena Tebboth in 2012. PRS is manned by nine employees in its Ruislip premises and handles gross written premium of about £5 million.
“Myself and the team are looking forward to working under the umbrella of James Hallam,” said Tebboth, who will continue to lead the acquired broker at its existing office.
“We believe this will enable PRS to expand the service and options we provide to our clients and offer a construction speciality within the James Hallam operation.”
Additionally, the MD is of the view that the larger and more flexible business model will allow PRS to keep pace with what she described as an “increasingly complex” insurance and risk management environment.
Meanwhile Seventeen Group chief executive Paul Anscombe (pictured) noted: “Zena and her team have worked together for a number of years and offer an excellent blend of personal service and sector knowledge for the benefit of their clients.
“Construction is a significant part of the UK economy and is predicted to grow. Bringing PRS onboard greatly increases our capability in this sector and offers a wider range of specialist services to our clients.”
