Howden has appointed Andrew Harrison-Sleap as its new executive director and global deputy head of construction as it continues to build out its construction practice.
Harrison-Sleap joins Howden from McGill & Partners, where he served as a partner in the professional indemnity practice. He also served as a senior partner at JLT and head of professional indemnity within its construction division.
In his new role, Harrison-Sleap will deliver first-class risk financing solutions for construction clients, focusing on professional indemnity insurance. He will support Naresh Dade, the managing director – global head of construction, in growing the business and leading the construction practice.
Dade commented: “I am thrilled to have Andrew join us. He is well known in the market as a leader in his field and is a clear example of Howden investing in the best talent for its expanding construction practice. As we combine the expertise of our in-house team with leading practitioners in the market, such as Andrew, we will position Howden as the alternative broker of choice for construction clients, both in the UK and internationally.”
Paul Redgate, the head of Howden Specialty, added: “I am thrilled that Andrew is joining Howden as we develop and push our regional and specialty agenda globally. We are very excited to have Andrew’s leadership, knowledge, and support alongside Naresh and the existing team as we continue to invest in the construction sector.”
