Specialist construction insurer ECIC has teamed up with Cobra Network.
ECIC, which is part of Markel International, has developed a bespoke specialist contractor insurance cover for the more than 100 members of the UK-wide independent network of commercial insurance brokers. The products were launched at yesterday’s Cobra Conference in Droitwich.
The network will have access to ECIC’s over four decades of underwriting experience in the specialist construction market while the deal will help expand the insurer’s broker relationships and consequently build its book of contractor business.
“This partnership with Cobra Network plays perfectly to our strengths as a niche and agile insurance provider focused on supporting regional brokers,” said ECIC chief executive Richard Forrest Smith.
“As part of one of the world’s leading insurance groups, we are now in a stronger position to extend our broker relationships, delivering a product that will appeal to the construction community and enable Cobra Network members to compete more effectively.”
The CEO said they are delighted to be counted among the network’s select insurance panel.
