Allianz is busy ramping up its engineering business.
Calling the unit’s growth plan “ambitious,” Allianz said its team of engineer surveyors has expanded significantly, with an additional 30 already enlisted so far this year. In total, there are now more than 620 Allianz engineer surveyors operating across the UK and Ireland.
According to the major insurer, its surveyor count is believed to be the biggest of any engineering inspection company.
“In 2017 our engineer surveyors inspected 3.6 million items of plant, in 134,000 different locations,” noted Martin Ball, head of engineering inspection services at Allianz. “These appointments reinforce our position as a market-leading engineering inspection business.
“I am delighted to further expand the team and welcome the new engineer surveyors to our inspection business. It’s great that we’ve been able to make this positive investment to further strengthen our expert-led team.”
Meanwhile 60% of the new recruits will primarily focus on London, given the increasing demand for construction services in the UK capital.
