Specialist motor insurer ERS has promoted senior underwriter Chris Wilson to head of fleet underwriting.
Effective immediately, Wilson will lead in the delivery of policies for a range of complex and non-standard risks across small and larger fleets, including bus, coach, taxi, and specialist haulage.
Reporting to director of underwriting Gina Butterworth, the London-based executive will also be responsible for P&L. Prior to joining ERS in 2014, Wilson worked in a variety of motor underwriting roles and was senior underwriter for
Aviva’s fleet portfolio.
“Chris has a proven track record in the design and rating of polices for the complex demands of the fleet market,” commented Butterworth. “He has worked very effectively with other business functions such as pricing, claims, operations, and broker development to leverage the specific capabilities we have to deliver first-class propositions to market.”
Butterworth said Wilson’s technical knowledge and understanding of what she described as an “unquestionably challenging sector” make him the perfect candidate to take ERS’ fleet offering forward.
ERS is a Lloyd’s of London underwriting business which provides cover via Syndicate 218.
