There is a new MGA in the commercial vehicle market with Bollington announcing it has secured £80 million of capacity for Anjuna Underwriting.
The new firm will provide products for taxi (both single vehicle and fleet), courier (single vehicle and fleet) and self-drive hire (daily and annual). In addition, it will cover goods in transit and motor trade with products to be distributed via Bollington’s growing wholesale network.
The £80 million capacity was secured in a deal with Danish insurer Gefion which will write business over a five-year period.
“We are very pleased to announce the launch of Anjuna Underwriting,” said Chris Patterson (pictured), group managing director at Bollington. “Bollington has a huge amount of experience in these markets and a proven track record of delivery through our wholesale distribution channels. The new offering through Anjuna provides great new products with a wider underwriting footprint, delivering additional capacity in challenging sectors for brokers. The new products will sit alongside those from our existing panel of A-rated insurers, ensuring a broad offering for brokers and consumers alike.”
It is expected that, in the near future, Anjuna will look to expand its line-up further to include light haulage and mini fleet.
