Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM) has promoted Sarah Howell (pictured) to London head of first-party claims with immediate effect.
Howell returned to the Liberty Mutual Insurance Group business in 2022, having previously worked at LSM for seven years. Before rejoining two years ago, she held the position of property claims head at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance.
The internal hire will have technical oversight of LSM’s London first-party claims team while working strategically across the broader claims function. Reporting to LSM London head and deputy head of claims Scott Kellers, she brings over two decades of industry experience to the post.
“We are delighted to announce Sarah’s promotion,” Kellers said in a release. “She has a great reputation in the market and has seamlessly stepped into this leadership role.
“Sarah is an excellent people manager; her combined experience and ability will support and develop our market-leading claims offering in 2024 and beyond.”
