Crawford & Company has unveiled a new renewable energy-focussed loss adjusting and risk advisory solution with the addition of an experienced team from Renewable Energy Loss Adjusters (RELA).
Based within Crawford Global Technical Services, the new unit will provide specialised loss adjusting services, covering renewable sources such as wind, solar, geothermal, hydropower, and biomass. The team will operate internationally, aiming to enhance support for insurers and investors as they navigate the unique challenges and risks of renewable energy projects.
The roster is led by Alan Tucker, former chief executive of RELA, and includes key specialists Martin Dobson, who served as RELA’s technical director and now heads technical and UK; Ceyla Asker, an adjuster and materials specialist; and Donald McNelly, an adjuster and engineer based in the US.
Andrew Bart, chief executive of international operations, noted: “The launch of the renewable energy team is a major development in Crawford’s commitment to supporting customers operating across the industry as the energy sector switches to more sustainable sources of energy...
“We are delighted to be operating from day one with such an experienced and respected team in the sector and welcome Alan and his colleagues to Crawford.”
Tucker, meanwhile, highlighted the strategic advantage of joining the claims giant: “Operating as a dedicated renewable energy team within Crawford… offers an incredible platform to ensure we deliver the highest possible client service standards and continue to develop more comprehensive, relevant, and responsive solutions.”
