UK start-up Kinsu is on a roll. Not only has it completed a successful second round of funding but has also expanded its team with senior appointments. In addition, Kinsu’s insurance app is now available on Android after first launching on iOS.
Here are the latest additions to the workforce:
Walker, who started her career at Hiscox Syndicate 33 in Lloyds of London, will be in charge of regulation, compliance, and insurance. Basso, on the other hand, joins from Yell.com while Ruivo brings with her extensive experience in leading marketing for start-ups such as Divido.
“Following a well received second round of investment, we’ve been enabled to expand as a business and build out our team, platform, and product,” said chief executive and co-founder Christopher Sharpe. “We’re extremely excited to see how Kinsu develops over the coming year, while championing our core belief that insurance is beautiful.
“We are building strong foundations in which to grow Kinsu in a way that will make people fall in love with insurance and make the world a little bit better along the way.”
Kinsu offers protection for the likes of phones, bicycles, and entire home contents. Coverage, which can be cancelled at any time, is renewed monthly as a flexible, rolling subscription. Through Kinsu’s UK-based charity partner StreetLink, each policy helps one rough sleeper get off the street.
