Aviva employees from the insurer’s Bishopbriggs office have participated in a charity walk for Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland (SBH Scotland).

Kirkintilloch Herald reported that the group presented a charity cheque worth £3,352 after completing a 26-mile challenge as part of Glasgow Kiltwalk’s ‘Mighty Stride’. According to the report, 13 Aviva employees joined some 7,000 walkers, 71 of whom were there to support the said charity.

Aviva marketing manager Kellyann Reid, who shared that they have a walking group at the Bishopbriggs office, was quoted as saying, “As an added bonus we chose to raise vital funds for a charity which support families in our local area and across Scotland and we’re very grateful to everyone who kindly donated to our challenge.”

SBH Scotland needs to raise over £1 million annually to aid those with spina bifida and hydrocephalus.
