Zurich UK has merged its commercial and retail distribution teams, creating a single access point for brokers engaging with the company.
In response to feedback from the insurer’s partners, Zurich set up the consolidated unit to provide brokers with a one-stop shop. The restructured team will be led by sales and distribution head Jacqui Kelly (pictured), who will report to retail head David Nichols and commercial UK head Frank Streidl.
The customer team, meanwhile, will not be impacted by the changes.
“This new structure will allow for multiple access points into the business with a single account manager in each case guiding brokers through their journey,” Nicols noted.
“The team is now structured to work closely and deliver success with the distribution channels they are aligned to, allowing us to react quickly in the marketplace and meet tomorrow prepared.”
Streidl added: “The consolidation of our commercial and retail distribution teams will build on our mission of delivering excellent service by streamlining the broker journey within Zurich, simplifying the process and helping us to build on our already strong relationships.”
As leader of the combined units, Kelly pointed to the importance of having the right engagement with Zurich’s broker partners.
She said: “The changes in the team will simplify and focus our sales and distribution community and ensure we have the right engagement while continuing to build our service and propositions.
“We remain focussed on understanding our share of wallet with broker partners. The new consolidated team will allow us to work closer with brokers across their whole portfolio and support both them and our mutual customers with the breadth of Zurich expertise.”
Kelly served as interim head of sales and distribution from July 2023 before her permanent appointment last October. She has been with Zurich UK since July 2006.
