WTW has appointed a new leader to its insurance consulting and technology (ICT) business. Michelle Radcliffe (pictured) is WTW’s new director in the climate analytics and exposure management team, where she will focus on her areas of expertise – climate transition risks and exposure management for underwriting.
Before joining WTW, Radcliffe worked with law firm CMS’ environmental team, advising clients on a range of climate change-related issues such as sustainability, environmental risk management, UK Net Zero, and the European Green Deal. Radcliffe was also a member of the law firm’s insurance team, where she developed a specialisation in advising insurers and reinsurers on climate change risks that could impact their underwriting books.
Radcliffe will be joined by Tim Newman and Naima Ali in the climate analytics and exposure management team. Newman and Ali were recently appointed associate director and senior associate, respectively, of the team. Newman and Ali both specialised in non-property and property catastrophe risk solutions and analytics during their respective times working for CyberCube and SCOR.
All three appointees will report to the head of climate analytics and exposure management, ICT, WTW David Singh from the company’s London office.
“Michelle has a unique insight into the environmental and insurance risk landscape, giving her an in-depth understanding of liability and risk solutions,” said Singh of Radcliffe’s appointment. “This will provide strong value to our clients as we continue to lead the development of innovative and practical propositions to help insurers respond and adapt quickly to the climate challenge. We are delighted to have her on the team.”
With its latest appointments, WTW’s ICT business now boasts over 1,200 colleagues operating in 35 markets worldwide. It is a leading insurance industry provider of advice, solutions, and software. Its consulting services help clients manage risk and capital and improve business performance by focusing on regulatory reporting, enterprise risk and capital management, mergers and corporate restructuring, pricing, and business management and strategy.
