Willis Towers Watson’s aviation team has allied with the Airport Operators Association (AOA).
The corporate partnership will see AOA members benefit from the broking giant’s offerings and advisory expertise, while Willis Towers Watson will be able to participate at the British trade body’s policymaking forums including its annual conference taking place in London this week.
The AOA membership spans more than 50 UK airports and 150 aviation industry suppliers.
“We are delighted to formalise our relationship with the AOA, as the UK’s leading airport representative, and look forward to working in tandem on future strategic initiatives,” said John Rooley, chief executive of global aerospace at Willis Towers Watson.
In 2018 the group’s aerospace unit launched the Airport Risk Community, the goal of which is to bring together airport operators to debate the risks facing the industry through summits, working groups, and airport exchanges.
Meanwhile, commenting on the tie-up, AOA chief executive Karen Dee stated: “We are proud to have Willis Towers Watson as our newest corporate partner.
“Their extensive expertise and global reach will be of great value to the AOA’s members, and strengthen further the collaborative community nature of UK airports and UK aviation more generally.”
