Belfast-headquartered Willis & Company Group has today revealed it has formalised its structure and rebranded as the WF Risk Group Limited (WFRG). The move comes in the wake of the firm’s significant growth and expansion via several acquisitions in recent years.
WFRG is made up of multiple companies and has a total of eight offices, with just over 140 members of staff, operating in key towns and cities across the UK and Ireland including London, Hull, Leeds, Dublin and Southampton. These companies include Willis Insurance & Risk Management, Kennett Insurance Brokers & Risk Management, Kennett Brokers Ireland DAC, Arden Insurance Brokers and Playle Russell Specialist Risks & Thatchline. The group also owns the underwriting firm, Generation Underwriting Management.
In a Press release, WFRG noted that its acquisition of these brands has allowed the group to experience fast-paced growth and develop a strong foothold in the market which has subsequently led to large increases in GWP.
Discussing the rebrand, Richard Willis (pictured), managing director of WFRG said the team was delighted to announce the restructure and subsequent rebrand. The firm had experienced a lot of expansion and growth, he said, driven by its acquisition of high-profile brands in key geographic locations. As a result, the group now serves clients on both a national and international scale.
“Each member of staff brings their own unique set of strengths and expertise to the table and I’m confident that this will stand our clients in good stead going forward,” he said. “The group may have changed its structure and its brand but one thing that hasn’t changed is the fact that we are still very much a family run business and those values will remain key to our business strategy and culture in the future.”
Willis said he was very excited about the future of WFRG and to see how the skills of its staff coupled with the firm’s hard-working ethos would create a full-service offering for clients. He highlighted that the group’s focus on offering clients the best possible customer service would continue as would its search for opportunities for further expansion in the future.
