Vincent Harel (pictured) has been appointed as chief executive officer of Verlingue.
“Vincent’s arrival is an important step in our Better Future 28 strategic plan,” said Benjamin Verlingue, chairman of Verlingue and chairman and CEO of Adelaide Group. “His professional approach and drive will enable us to strengthen our positions in all business segments and contribute fully to our strategic ambition of becoming Europe’s leading family-owned insurance brokerage company.”
Verlingue is an insurance broker specialising in corporate protections. It is part of the Adelaide insurance brokerage group, which also includes Generation, Cocoon and Dune.
“It is a huge pleasure to be able to contribute to the next stages of Verlingue’s development within the Adelaide Group,” Harel said, commenting on his appointment. “I know that I can rely on employees who are very committed to their company, whether in France or in Europe, and I am confident that our position as an independent, family-run business is a strength.”
In recent years, Verlingue has expanded its presence in Europe. Its latest acquisition was ProConseils Solutions, a major player in the French-speaking Swiss insurance brokerage market, which the company purchased in November 2024.
The acquisition aligns with the company’s Better Future 28 strategic plan, which focuses on expanding its European presence through partnerships with local businesses. Adelaide Group wants to become the leading family-owned insurance broker in Europe by 2028, the company said.
In 2023, Verlingue also acquired Brundson Employee Benefits, an independently owned employee benefit specialist based in Gloucester. It also launched Verlingue London Markets, marking a significant development in the insurance brokerage following NBJ London Markets’ rebranding.
