USQRisk has announced the retirement of David Hall, who led its UK operations since 2021, effective at the end of 2024.
UK chief underwriting officer Jonathan Richardson and chief operating officer Anthony Harrington-Jones will lead the UK business operations, beginning Jan. 1, 2025. Harrington-Jones was promoted to the chief operating officer role last February 2024.
Commenting on his retirement, Hall said: “I will cherish the fond memories I have from my time in insurance as I turn the page and move into retirement.”
USQRisk focuses on customised risk management services that will support clients in managing volatility and overcoming the weaknesses of traditional risk transfer services.
“USQRisk has proven to be a fantastic environment where I can share a lifetime of expertise, and work with a team who truly understands the needs and complexities related to tailored risk solutions,” Hall added.
Aside from his experience, Hall is known in the industry for his understanding of how the business works for both the brokers and the customers. He is also known for ensuring that business operations will strongly align the services required and the services provided to benefit all parties in the transaction.
Anibal Moreno, chief executive of USQRisk, thanked Hall for his contributions to the company, noting that the company’s success is “largely due to the tireless dedication and peerless expertise that David has brought to his leadership of the UK arm of USQRisk.”
“I’m privileged to have had the opportunity to work with David and build USQRisk. I’ve personally seen David’s creative thinking and leadership, and while USQRisk will sorely miss his wisdom and tenacity, we wish him well in his retirement,” said Moreno.
“I’ve dedicated my career to understanding the complex world of insurance and have enjoyed the opportunity to not only work with the best in the business but to make a difference in how many of us tailor and transfer risk to make the uninsurable, insurable,” remarked Hall.
