Independent Lloyd’s insurance broker Tysers has boosted its UK and international practices with the acquisition of the London-based commercial lines business of Cosmos Services Co Ltd, Hong Kong.
Cosmos is a subsidiary of the Japanese global trading firm ITOCHU Corporation and Tysers hopes to leverage its base to better serve its Japanese clients across the UK and Europe while also forging a stronger strategic relationship with the firm itself.
“We are excited at the prospect of working alongside our new colleagues from Cosmos and expanding upon the range of services and products we can deliver to their established client base,” said David Randle, managing director of Tysers International Practice.
According to a release, Cosmos’ employees will become part of the UK Corporate Risks Division under the leadership of Stephen May, Head of Tysers’ UK Corporate Risks Division.
