Towergate Insurance has strengthened its London market motor fleet team with the addition of two seasoned brokers from a rival brokerage firm.
The major broker has recruited Mark Culleton and Darren Grodent, who recently served as motor fleet manager and motor senior fleet broker respectively.
“Myself and Darren can see the massive potential of the Towergate London placement team and want to be part of its success,” Culleton said.
With 26 years of experience in motor insurance, Culleton previously worked at Cobra, R L Davison and Torch Motor Policies. Grodent, meanwhile, has 12 years of experience in the London fleet market and over 10 years at Carroll London Markets and John Holmans and Sons.
“Darren and Mark are respected senior brokers in the motor fleet market and I’m honoured that each has chosen Towergate London Market as their new home as we gear up for growth,” said fleet director David Gerrish.
“Their expertise, combined with the strength of our existing team, will drive an outstanding service and deliver products for all our partner brokers throughout the UK,” he added.
The appointments are the latest in a string of senior hires at Towergate. Paul Longhurst will join as broking and distribution director on August 11 while Neil Pearce will become managing director September 5.
