Major brokerage firm
Towergate has appointed
Zurich executive Kay Martin as its new commercial director.
In her new role, Martin will be in charge of strategy, proposition and planning. She will also be responsible for strategic marketing, communication and digital and client offering optimisation.
Joining the executive committee, Martin will report to Towergate CEO David Ross, who described her as a “major addition” to the brokerage.
“Her hugely relevant leadership of complex marketing, planning and digital platforms coupled with her engaging personality make her the perfect candidate for driving this next important phase for Towergate, as we look to build on fixing our business and bringing to life real ambitions for growth,” Ross said.
“I feel certain that we’ll feel the impact of Kay’s passion and expertise within days of her arrival. I know that we will embrace her tenacity and determination to drive improvements for our people, partners and customers,” he added.
Martin will join Towergate from Zurich UK, where she has been serving as chief marketing officer and member of the general insurance business executive team since 2010.
She most recently assumed interim responsibilities for Zurich UK personal lines, taking on the role of managing director.
Before joining Zurich, Martin also worked at Lloyds TSB and
Aviva, where he served as marketing and communications director.
