Towergate Insurance Brokers has appointed Dafydd Jonathan as its new head of legal indemnities to its Welsh body.
Based in Cardiff, Jonathan will be working with solicitors, surveyors and property developers across the UK to come up with property insurance solutions surrounding legal indemnities. He moves from Thomas Carroll’s team.

Joining the team gives me a great opportunity to continue to grow my existing client base whilst aiding my personal development,” Jonathan said. “Predicting behaviours in the property market is never an easy thing, especially as the property market has changed significantly during the pandemic. Solicitors and their clients will need the best advice possible when dealing with legal indemnities, and I’m looking forward to providing that alongside the Towergate team.”
Jonathan is legally qualified, having graduated law at an undergraduate and Master’s level and completed his Legal Practice Course at Cardiff University. His background as a legal practitioner has equipped him with more than enough experience to transition into the insurance world with ease.
Socially, Dafydd is a competitive rugby player who has close ties with Caerphilly RFC. This has led him to have a strong network of business contacts in Wales.
