Benjamin Faubert (pictured) has been recruited by Tokio Marine HCC – Credit Group to serve as senior underwriter within its growing European credit and political risk team.
Making the switch from Société Générale, Faubert brings more than a decade of market experience to the post. His credentials include time spent at Coface and Euler Hermes in London, New York, and Paris.
“It’s a great opportunity to join such a strong team at a time when ambitions are so high,” commented the key hire, who will be based in the Paris office. “I look forward to working with the team to further establish the expertise and credentials of TMHCC in France and beyond.”
With a particular focus on clients within the European Economic Area, Faubert will write a combination of credit and political risk insurance products. Prior to joining Tokio Marine HCC, he held the role of syndication, credit & political risk director.
“The growth of our credit and political risk footprint in Europe is a key strategic priority for us, but only with the right people and in the right sectors,” said Tokio Marine HCC – Credit Group president DiJerome Swinscoe. “I am delighted to have secured the services of someone of Benjamin’s calibre.
“We have ambitious plans for our team in France, and we expect to see strong, steady growth in the coming years by building long-lasting relationships with both brokers and clients, just as we have in the UK and US. Benjamin will play a key role in delivering on our plans across the EEA region.”
