International specialist underwriting company Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK) has expanded its special risks team – welcoming Charlotte Pritchard as a new underwriter.
Pritchard, who has worked in the London market for 13 years and has a proven track record of success in her field, will focus on all aspects of special risks including political violence and accelerating the growth of the company’s terrorism book.
Prior to the role, she was an underwriter at Barbican Insurance Group, where she had been working since 2017 specialising in malicious acts such as terrorism and political violence. She also held a role at Canopius for 11 years, at which she focused on a broad range of special risks including political risks, terrorism, political violence, and trade credit.
“TMK has been writing special risks for more than three decades and we are committed to developing our presence in this field,” said Edward Parker, divisional head of special risks at TMK. “Charlotte brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team within a specialism that is of growing importance to our clients, which will enable us to continue to deliver the highest standard of underwriting.”
