Specialist international insurer Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK) has made a series of high-profile appointments to its aviation team as part of a renewed focus on the sector under the direction of CUO Matthew Shaw and recently appointed department head David Slevin.
TMK has welcomed Lisa Leahy, former head of aviation at Faraday Underwriting, as a senior member of the team with primary focus on airlines. Matthew Farrar, who has almost 30 years’ experience in the market, joins TMK from Lockton, where he was aviation manager. He is now the team’s general aviation underwriter. Rounding out the new appointments is Lizanne Kooi, previously an aviation broker.
TMK announced the appointments shortly after Graham Oddie, of TMK’s Singapore office, assumed the role of head of general aviation team, among other responsibilities.
“With the challenges facing the aviation market, now more than ever it is crucial that we invest in such impressive talent,” said Slevin. “Their extensive experience makes them a valuable addition as we continue to build out our aviation division here at TMK. I very much look forward to welcoming them to the team.”
