Independent broker and risk manager TL Dallas has enhanced its trade credit team, with a double swoop.
Firstly, it has brought in David Wilson (pictured above) who will head both trade credit and surety across the firm’s operations in Northern Ireland and Scotland. He will be based in the Falkirk office and makes the switch from Aon, where he was a business development director in trade credit. He will now take responsibility for the company’s seven-strong team across both Glasgow and Falkirk.
“TL Dallas has always been a company that I’ve admired, and its trade credit offer is market leading,” said Wilson. “We have exciting plans to further grow both the team and our services and I’m looking forward to helping to achieve these goals and being part of the next exciting chapter for the business.”
Meanwhile, also joining the firm is Jennifer McGuffie (pictured below), who will take on an account executive role. She has held a host of roles in the invoice discounting sector.
According to Jonathan Smith, strategic director, trade credit and surety at TL Dallas, the arrivals will extend the “TL Dallas family” which currently employs 16 across its trade credit division.
“Their appointments follow the recruitment last year of Louise Greaves and Caroline Bennett, both of whom have more than 30 years’ trade credit industry experience, as well as Jamie Coskry who is another valuable addition to the team with a broad skillset honed from his time working in the legal sector,” he said.
“Like any successful business, we need to plan for the future, invest in the right people, exploit growth opportunities and continue to offer best in class service to our clients and other partner brokers. The appointments of David and Jennifer are key to achieving these goals and they are both significant hires.”
