Three people have been charged in relation to the murder of former LV= marketing director Guy Hedger, who was shot in his home late last month.
Hedger, 61, was killed before dawn on April 30 during a suspected pre-planned burglary at his house in Dorset. He died of gunshot wounds shortly after arriving at a hospital.
The Dorset police said Jason Baccus, 41, Scott Keeping, 44, and Kevin Downton, 40, were all charged with murder and aggravated burglary on Friday.
“Following a fast moving and thorough investigation, we have consulted with the Crown Prosecution Service who authorised the charges,” detective superintendent Kevin Connolly said on the Dorset police’s website.
“Family liaison officers have updated Guy’s family with this development and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time,” he added.
The three suspects appeared in court on Saturday to answer the charges, the Telegraph reported. They all spoke to confirm their names and addresses during the five-minute hearing.
According to the report, the presiding magistrate remanded all of the accused into custody. They will again face the court on Tuesday.
On Friday, the Dorset police said a 40-year-old Bournemouth woman arrested in connection with the case was released under investigation. Detectives will also continue to question a 40-year-old man from the Blandford area.
