Thomas Miller Specialty (TMS) has announced that it has moved its claims operations to the Thomas Miller Claims Management (TMCM) offices in Newcastle.
TMCM is a marine risk management consultancy providing marine claims handling, adjusting, and operational support services to its clients, particularly those in the marine, transport and general commercial business sectors.
In addition to moving its claims operations, TMS has revealed that its Hamburg office is now fully operational to serve as the European hub for all TMS businesses. A release said that following Brexit, the Hamburg office is “a key focal point” of the company’s business, alongside the relocated claims handling operation in Newcastle, and TMS’s founding of its London-based branch Thomas Miller GmbH.
“From a strategic point of view, it makes commercial sense to integrate our claims handling function for Hamburg within the larger claims function in Newcastle. We are also focussing our efforts on making the Hamburg office an integral part of Thomas Miller Specialty and establishing it as its European centre post-Brexit,” said TMS chairman Hugo Wynn-Williams.
Wynn-Williams added that TMS’s European proposition has developed strongly since it opened the Rotterdam office in 2019, which was done in anticipation of Brexit. The chairman also noted that the group now has 51 employees across regional locations in Rotterdam, Hamburg, Piraeus and Limassol.
