The Broker Investment Group (TBIG), which invests in UK insurance brokers, has appointed Andy Roden (pictured) as chief executive of retail.
“I have worked with Andy throughout my career,” TBIG group chief executive Dave Clapp said in an emailed release. “We first worked together some 25 years ago. Andy is an absolutely top-class operator, and I can’t wait to work with him again. He will help us deliver our ambitious growth plans.
“It’s all about the people, and building a highly capable team with a proven track record enhances our proposition to new and existing brokers. The future is very exciting.”
Clapp was CEO at The County Group – where Roden most recently served as managing director of retail – until 2020.
“TBIG is a fantastic business, and I’m delighted to join forces with Dave and [owner] Peter [Cullum] again,” commented Roden, who will have oversight of TBIG’s field sales teams.
“The focus will be to continue the ethos of investing in community-based brokers and providing support and leadership to help them develop their businesses further through our experienced retail management team.
“The group has gone from strength to strength, and I’m excited to continue the growth of the business and invest in new broker partners.”
