Tim Crighton (pictured) has been added to the retail management team at The Broker Investment Group (TBIG) as marketing director.
Lifting the lid on the appointment, group chief executive Dave Clapp said in an emailed release: “Tim has been working with us in a consultancy capacity for the last 12 months or so, and we worked together for many years growing The County Group. I am delighted he has decided to join us at The Broker Investment Group to help us deliver our ambitious growth plans.
“As we continue to grow in the retail broker space, the natural progression was for Tim to use all his experience and to join the team full-time and will be working with us on the marketing strategy with a key focus on broker branding, marketing strategies, and delivering new business opportunities into each of our broker investments.”
Reporting to retail CEO Andy Roden, Crighton brings more than two decades of insurance industry experience to the post.
Roden, a fellow The Country Group alumnus, commented: “Having worked with Tim at The County Group, I am delighted that we have managed to secure his services on a permanent basis. Tim will be joining our growing management team.
“One of the key elements that The Broker Investment Group bring to our broker partners is making sure we add value. This is already happening through our management and sales expertise, insurer partners, access to our MGA (managing general agent) facilities, and now a dedicated marketing team.”
Meanwhile, for the new management team member, coming on board was an opportunity he couldn’t say ‘no’ to.
“Having watched the progress [owner] Peter [Cullum], Dave, and the team have made in the last 12 to 18 months, the opportunity to join was too good to resist and so I can’t wait to get started,” Crighton said.
“It really is a business that is going places, and not only will I be marketing TBIG itself to the UK insurance broker market but assisting the partner brokers with their marketing too, so a diverse and challenging role. Having worked with Andy before and many of the other team members, I have no doubt of the continued success of the group.”
