Tedaisy Insurance Brokers Limited, trading as Perfect Pet Insurance and NOW Pet, has announced the launch of Perfect Pet Vet Assist and NOW Pet Vet Assist.
The new pet triage service offers free 24/7 access to expert veterinary assistance via phone, with plans to introduce live chat and video consultations in the future. It is included as a standard benefit with eligible policies, enabling policyholders at both Perfect Pet Insurance and NOW Pet to easily connect with a network of vets and veterinary nurses.
In an emailed release, managing director Natalie Surtees said: “As pet lovers, we know first-hand how stressful it can be when your pet is unwell, which is why we were keen to launch a veterinary triage solution that will provide further reassurance and convenience to policyholders, complementing our ever-growing list of customer benefits.
According to Tedaisy Insurance Brokers, the decision to introduce the veterinary triage service aligns with its continuous efforts to support the health and well-being of dogs and cats while alleviating financial barriers faced by pet owners.
The launch of the service coincides with the recent 5-star Moneyfacts rating awarded to the Elite Extra Plus dog and cat insurance plans provided by Perfect Pet Insurance.
The market value of the pet insurance sector is expected to reach US$14.9 billion by 2030, according to a 2022 report by Global Market Insights. This will be driven by the rising costs of veterinary care, the surge in demand for pet insurance amid the growing popularity of pet adoption, and the shift from pet ownership to pet parenting.
